The PCB production value was 31.5 billion in 1990 but reached 116.2 billion in 2007, an average of annual growth rate reaches 25.35 percent, as a result, originally we are an unknown printed circuit board producing country to become the world's first production producer.
Retrospecting the development process of PCB industry in these 30 reform years, there are many things we need to seriously consider today, We are able to be the world's PCB-producing country, which is mainly on the basis of technology and equipment imported from abroad. There is no doubt that with the rapid development of China's PCB industry, the professional PCB equipment factories mushroomed rapidly. 70s of last century, China basically does not have a formal special equipment for PCB manufacturing, PCB specializing in the production plant is also extremely rare, and most of them are pertain to a production workshop of one factory, PCB production is mainly manual production, the equipment was only made by factory itself, not only that, the main and auxiliary materials needed for the production are basically their own production. The early 80s of last century, with the production of color television to start the project, the Shanghai Radio Factory 20 from Japan, Panasonic has introduced the first two single-sided printed circuit board production line, opened the prelude of special equipment for manufacturing PCB in China.
At present, there are hundreds of manufacturer for making special pcb equipment, only CPCA (China Printed Circuit Association) Specialized equipment manufacturers are more than 200 member units, most of them are our local private PCB manufacturing factories for professinal equipment, which has achieved a lot for China's PCB the industry.
No matter where and what line of business in todays' world, all leaders are supported by high-tech, and relied on advanced major equipment and advanced production facilities. PCB industry, we must exploit the special equipments which adapt to the development in the future with independent intellectual property if we want to be bigger and stronger. At present, ours PCB special equipment belong to middle and low level if contrast to the developed countries. it can only adapt to and meet the needs of middle and low PCB production. If we want to become a PCB power country, especially for the special pcb equipment manufacturing, still have long way to go, must not be satisfied with present achievements and standards.
The development and innovation of our special pcb equipment must be future-oriented to the future to break the routine, mobilize enthusiasm and creativity of technical persons. The good scientific and technical persons are the first in Future development. The training and pullulation of the persons are not easy.
